Our most valuable resource is our agent network. We recruit and train trusted people from the communities to reach customers in rural areas. We need help to build a great training plan that will equip our agents with the right set of skills and knowledge, as well as the right attitude to be successful at Solar Village.
Responsibilities
Learn from customers, successful agents and agent managers;
We expect our Human Development Facilitator to be able to learn from what works on the ground and reinvent the wheel where needed;
Develop high quality training material;
Build compelling visual materials, training manuals, etc.;
Use participative techniques to make trainings fun and effective;
Find ways to share tips and techniques from high performing agents;
Understand local culture and incorporate into training material;
Test and refine the training formula;
Train the agent managers to become effective trainers.
What we are looking for
Proven leadership ability and interest in running/working in a start-up;
Ability to inspire others;
Good understanding of sales psychology;
Self-driven and able to work comfortably both alone and in small teams;
Experience working in developing countries;
Experience working in sales and/or education highly desirable;
Minimum Bachelor’s degree;
Communicate well in English - both written and verbal;
Willing to live in Zambia (Kabwe, Chipata or Choma);
Willing to travel between regions in Zambia.
