We are looking to expand our portfolio of solar-powered income generating appliances for small-scale farmers. We have identified multiple opportunities for various agricultural value chains which could lead to building products such as electric fences, solar dryers, solar pumps or various data collection devices. We need a creative and organised mind to help identify and prioritize these opportunities, as well as own the product development process for each product once we have decided to "go for it".
Responsibilities The ideal Product Manager should be able to fully understand the problems we are trying to solve as well as understand both the commercial potential for the company and technical feasibility of potential solutions to these problems. The Product Manager should be able to generate great ideas, be able to evaluate them quantitatively and qualitatively, leverage the resources available to build prototypes, get feedback from customers, and improve the product until ready to be introduced to the market. Basically, see through the complete product development process, from problem identification to full commercialization.

Ability to manage a team and bring people together around a joint project
Minimum Bachelor’s degree related to engineering, design or a relevant field
Communicate well in English - both written and verbal
Willing to live in a second-tier city in Zambia (Kabwe, Chipata or Choma)
